Hello, Dads. I had successful laser surgery to cure my wife's snoring problem. It was a uvulopharyngoplasty, or UPP, performed by an ENT doctor in Olney, MD. Yes, it does hurt, but my pain was less than another guy I know, who not only had two weeks of unbearable pain, but also a third week of pain that was just severe--and he still snores. My pain was a very bad sore throat and it hurt to swallow all the time. I was on Tylenol for two weeks solid. But, I sleep all night now, and not only do I not snore, I also don't get lower leg cramps at night--a sign of sleep apnea. My insurance co. considered this to be experimental and wouldn't pay for it. It cost about $2,500 and it really does hurt for two weeks afterwards, so you really have to want to stop snoring. Damon
